Acts of Kindness

Today I decided I wanted to do something with all of my free time. Not just anything, I wanted to do something that helped other people, so I decided to volunteer my time at Family Dogs New Life Shelter, A NO kill shelter. They believe every dog deserves a second chance. I really love what they do there and I am so excited that I will have the chance to help dogs find new forever homes.

Every Monday I will head out to Clackamas to groom rescue dogs free of charge. I am so excited and can't wait to get started. Updates and photos to come soon.!!!!

A gift for Dawn...

I am working on a gift for my mother-in-law Dawn with the help of a beautiful soul named Carly. She lost her son Christian to Hydrocephalus. Now she writes the names of angels in the sand. My heart aches for her loss.

I submitted the names of my sister-in-laws, Ashley and Ariel, Two beautiful little girls that were taken from the world in such a terrible way. I am so thankful to Carly for what she does for families all over the world.
Here are the photos taken by Carly on Christians Seashore (Mullaloo Point),a beach in Australia where she writes the names in the sand.

Our day on Mt. Tabor

It was such a beautiful day when we woke up yesterday, the first day like this in weeks. We decided to take Cooper to the dog park on top of Mt. Tabor. It is by far his favorite place to go. We loaded him in the car and he knew where he was going right away. He squeaked the whole way there. As soon as we opened the car door he was already halfway down the mountain into the dog park. We let him burn some energy then we walked to Cooper's Coffee, a dog friendly cafe right here in Se Portland. While we enjoyed some ice coffees Cooper ate a bone and played with some feisty keeshonds.

We got back to the park and let Cooper explore on his own while we relaxed on the benches awhile before finally heading home for the afternoon.

All in all we had a blast and got tons of exercise. Hopefully we will be making this a weekly tradition!
